Forever Branded
Forever Branded is a BLM-partner nonprofit that works with trainers across the country to gentle wild horses and burros. They are the primary organization receiving federal funding to compensate professional trainers for taking in wild burros from BLM holding facilities, providing them essential training, and placing them with adopters. Forever Branded can be an excellent resource for connecting with experienced donkey trainers and finding burros available for adoption, with the added bonus that they have already received initial training for safe handling!

California Breakfast Burritos
California Breakfast Burritos is a nonprofit located in southern California very close to the Ridgecrest BLM Wild Horse & Burro holding facility. Owners Karin & John have over 10 years of experience gentling and training wild burros, working with donkey owners, facilitating burro adoptions, educating the public, and supporting active lifestyles for donkeys by hosting group hiking outings and burro races in the Sierra Nevada! They are an excellent resource and have greatly inspired our mission.
BRAYZ Donkey
Created by experienced donkey trainer Tegan Heveran, BRAYZ is an Arizona-based organization focused on helping owners build strong relationships with their donkeys through gentle, patient training methods. In addition to offering one of the few mobile donkey training services available in Arizona and Southern California, BRAYZ gentles and trains owner-surrendered donkeys and formerly wild burros, helping connect them with forever homes. An excellent resource for those in search of adoptable donkeys.

New Mexico Pack Burros
New Mexico Pack Burros has become a quintessential resource for modern-day burro recreation, promoting active lives for burros through pack burro racing, guided treks, backcountry packing clinics, and multi-day wilderness expeditions. Founder Shane Weigand is also the author of Backcountry Burro, a detailed practical guide for selecting, training, caring for, packing, and traveling with donkeys on the trail (available for purchase on the NM Pack Burros website).
