Educational Guides

Stay tuned as we create our own practical guides to help you plan for and navigate life with donkeys in the desert!

We’re particularly interested in creating accessible resources for those completely new to equines and livestock, covering the basics that other guides often assume you already know.

Upcoming guides will cover:

• Basic donkey care in the high desert.

• How to adopt wild burros from Bureau of Land Management (BLM) holding facilities.

• Preparing your property for donkeys, including fencing & shelter options, estimated costs, and building plans.

• Getting started with hiking, camping, and packing with donkeys.

Clinics & Workshops

As our organization grows, we also plan to sponsor clinics bringing in experienced donkey owners, trainers, and veterinarians to improve our local donkey community’s knowledge base!
